Renaissance Office Staff:
Our office staff is here to help you in any way and will answer questions pertaining to scheduling appointments and surgery, insurance and billing, and copying X-rays and medical records. All questions concerning your medical condition will be handled by your doctor, physician assistant, nurse practitioner, or nurse.
In order to best serve our patients, the office is divided up into several areas:
Front Desk
The staff at the front desk will be here to greet you upon your arrival to our office. They will check you in and make sure that we have all of the information that we need for your visit. Please have your insurance cards handy and any forms we had you fill out prior to your visit.
Clinic Staff
Once you are brought back into an exam room, you will meet a few more members of our team. One of the Nurses or Medical Assistants will ask you several questions pertinent to your condition. You will then be escorted back to the x-ray room, as the majority of our patients require an x-ray in order for the doctor to learn as much as he can about your condition.
X-Ray and Radiology Staff
Almost all of our patients require an x-ray in order for the doctor to
learn as much as he can about your condition. In order to make the process as easy as possible for our patients, we have an x-ray machine right in our office! The members of our x-ray team are: Cathy. They will get you in and out and on your way to see the doctor!
Physician Assistant and Nurse Practitioner
Once you have arrived back to your exam room, you will be evaluated by either the physician assistant (PA) or nurse practitioner (NP). The PA/NP will ask you a few questions and do a physical exam pertinent to the joint you are being seen for. The PA/NP will also give you an injection at the end of your visit if this is part of your treatment plan. (For more information about our Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner please see the section: Patient Education: About PA's and NP's).
Surgeons
Dr. DiGioia and Dr. Stanley will evaluate you and review your x-rays to diagnose your condition and come up with an appropriate treatment plan. If you are a candidate for surgery, your surgeon and The Surgical Planning and Support Team will explain the surgical process and our special program and address any questions or concerns you may have.
Nurses and the Surgical Support Team
If surgery or injections are part of your treatment plan, you will then be escorted to one of our teaching rooms. One of the nurses/surgical coordinators will go through the process of your surgery from start to finish, and you will also view an educational DVD about our program and the surgery. The surgical coordinators keep the surgical schedule and will discuss surgery dates, post operative appointments, and any pre-testing that needs done prior to surgery. They are your surgical coordinators and your personal contacts for any surgery questions.
Billing
Our billing department will process your insurance, handle any co-payments, and answer all of your billing questions.
Administration and Service Team
Our practice administrator and office managers are behind the scenes making sure that everything runs smoothly. Please don't hesitate to call them with your concerns, questions, or any complaints for they are here to see that all goes well with your experience here at Renaissance Orthopaedics!
